Yesterday we took a day trip via the bus up to New York City. I hadn’t been there in a couple of years and I was looking forward to getting out of Maryland for a few hours.
We went to the International Center of Photography and checked out some nice work. Some of the most beautiful photos there were taken by photographer Lewis Hine. There was also a fantastic little JFK exhibit, telling the story of his assassination and displaying some of the photos taken by everyday people at the time.
The rest of the time in New York was spent walking around and seeing random shops and places. I took some photos (of course!) to document the trip. One of my favorite parts of the city to photograph is Central Park. It seems like such a random little island of peace in the middle of a pool of chaotic city noise.
Here are some of the photos from the trip!
